This jig is based on a similar jig built by Norm Abram on his TV show, New Yankee Workshop. It slides along the fence and provides excellent support for tapering long pieces like table legs. It also taught me a thing or two about handling aluminum. (more…)

Shelf Pin Hole Jig

This jig is based on a similar jig built by Norm Abram on his TV show, New Yankee Workshop. It is built for a plunge router using 1/2″ collar and 1/4″ spiral cut plunge bit. I used the 1/2″ collar because I didn’t have the same size Forstner bit that Norm used in his version. The index plug is a 1/4″ cotter pin. (more…)

Sheet Cutting Jig

This jig is based on a similar jig built by Norm Abram on his TV show, New Yankee Workshop. It slides in the miter gauge slot and provides excellent support for larger and/or longer pieces. My version adds a T-track embedded on top of the back railing for adding hold-downs or stop blocks for repetitive cuts. (more…)
