Exporting EXIF properties to Excel

This a very simple IMatch script that I use occasionally to export EXIF properties of one or more images to Excel to analyze my shooting habits.

The script performs 3 simple steps:

  1. Launches Excel and creates a new worksheet
  2. Enumerates through all the selected images, and for each image extracts the basic EXIF properties and enters them into the new worksheet
  3. Enables Excel’s auto-filtering feature for easy manipulation of the data

Supported Platforms: IMatch 3.5
Tested Platforms: IMatch 3.5 on Microsoft Windows XP

Installation Instructions

  1. Download the ZIP file containing the script(s)
  2. Unzip the ZIP file
  3. Copy the script file(s) to the installation location of your copy of IMatch, typically at

    C:\Program Files\photools.com\IMatch\Scripts\User

  4. Restart IMatch
  5. Use the Scripting|Scripts menu to run the script
