Mobile Planer Station

I built this planer station to make it easier to wheel around a 80lbs thickness planer in limited workspace. It is based largely on a plan available from Plans Now, although I had to tweak it a little bit to accommodate my new DeWalt planer with its longer outfeed tray. The station rests on top of two sawhorses when in use, and has 3″ fixed coaster wheels under the heavy end to make it very easy to roll around. There are also couple of rubber bumpers at the very end of the table to securely park it in place when upright.

The planer station was made primarily from construction grade fir with a piece of 1/4″ hardboard for the outfeed table. I didn’t bother putting finish on the wood.
