This a very simple Photoshop action that I use to prepare images for posting on the web.
The action performs 4 simple steps:
- Flattens the image
- Converts it to RGB color mode
- Converts it to sRGB color profile using Microsoft ICM & relative colorimetric intent
- Finally, it reduces the color depth to 8 bits/channel
Voila! The image is now ready to be saved as a JPG for use on the web.

Installation Instructions
- Download the ZIP file containing the action(s)
- Unzip the ZIP file
- Copy the action(s) to the installation location of your copy of Photoshop, typically at
orC:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Presets\Photoshop ActionsC:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Presets\Photoshop Actions - Select
Load Actions...in the actions palette menu - Navigate to the folder that contains your actions
- Select the new action file, and click
Load
