Preparing Images for the Web

This a very simple Photoshop action that I use to prepare images for posting on the web.

The action performs 4 simple steps:

  1. Flattens the image
  2. Converts it to RGB color mode
  3. Converts it to sRGB color profile using Microsoft ICM & relative colorimetric intent
  4. Finally, it reduces the color depth to 8 bits/channel

Voila! The image is now ready to be saved as a JPG for use on the web.

Supported Platforms: Photoshop CS and CS2
